Once a client has registered with Drive a Boat Canada and decides not to take the online exam, this person can choose to transfer their account to another person. The client has to advise Drive a Boat Canada of the change by e-mail or telephone within 90 days of the registration. Once chapter 2 is started, no refunds will be issued unless a technical problem arose and a client has been charged more than once for the same service. In such case, Drive a Boat Canada must be notified within 60 days of any technical problems to be eligible for a refund.
If you have not received your card within 90 days of passing the exam or ordering a replacement card, please contact Drive a Boat Canada by e-mail at info@driveaboatcanada.ca or telephone at 1-833-322-2628. If the 90 day period has expired, it will be considered as an Operator Card re-impression and replacement card fees apply.
If an operator card re-impression is required due to an error in the date of birth or the spelling of your name, replacement card fees will apply.
For any cards returned by Canada Post due to an incorrectly supplied international mailing address, a processing fee of $10 (plus tax) will be charged when the card is re-sent. For locally mailed cards (within Canada), the $10 (plus tax) mailing fee will be applied if the card is returned a second time.
Should you wish to have a new card expedited to a new address before the card arrives back to us, regular replacement card fees will apply.
Expiration of the account
We recommend completing the course within a year of registration. In the case of group purchases for two or more, although there is no expiry for using the promo code, we recommend registering for the course (creating a profile on our site, using the promo code) within one year of purchase, even if you do not complete the course within that time frame. This will lock in the price of purchase.
If registration is more than a year later and there has been a price increase, the system will charge the difference.
