Drive a Boat Canada was established as a result of the new federal law stating that as of September 15th 2009, all pleasure craft operators must have proof of their competency.

To be faithful to the initial program of Transport Canada, which is to educate pleasure craft operators in order to reduce the number of accidents on Canadian waters, Drive a Boat Canada is proud to have opened these new horizons on nautical safety to tens of thousands of people.
